Serum CRP levels were measured before and after diet-induced weight loss in PCOS women in nine studies, n = 286, of which three (n = 61) reported a significant decrease [26,34,47], while the remaining six (n = 225) showed no statistically significant change in circulating CRP after the weight loss [31,32,33,44,46,49] (Table 4). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
