There was a lower rate of patients >60 years old (15.0% vs. 32.9%, p = 0.01) and with a BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2 (46.7% vs. 63.6%, p = 0.026) in the high-Lp(a) group, and previously diagnosed hyperlipidemia was more prevalent in this group (65.0% vs. 47.1%, p = 0.02). Here, LPA is linked to hyperlipidemia.
