Apart from the obvious discrepancy in the prevalence of arterial hypertension, patients with previous ACE inhibitor treatment were older (73.8 ± 12.6 vs. 77.1 ± 11.2; p = 0.008) and more commonly of the male sex (73.2% vs. 60.5%; p = 0.011) (see Table 1).
