Inhibitors targeting pathways regulating OCSC properties [29,33,63,64], such as the METTL3/SALL4 axis, which activates the Wnt/β-catenin pathway post-radiation therapy, are being tested in preclinical trials and offer promising avenues for potentially curative oral cancer therapies [65].
