Recent studies have confirmed a positive correlation between elevated inflammatory markers (e.g., higher neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and IL-22) in patients with psoriasis in specific age groups, as well as a higher pro-inflammatory state (i.e., as reflected by platelet indexes) in patients with psoriasis with comorbidities compared to people with this dermatosis without other chronic disease [60].
