Among the thirteen KIT/PDGFRA wild-type GISTs, three harbored alternative molecular alternations: two had NF1 mutations (including one case associated with known neurofibromatosis type 1 syndrome), and one had an LMNA::NTRK1 gene fusion, leading to its reclassification as an “NTRK-rearranged spindle cell neoplasm” (previously reported [32]). The gene discussed is NTRK1; the disease is spindle cell neoplasm.
