MMP2 and neoplasm: In recent studies, MMP-2 and MMP-9 were reported to be a potential predictive or prognostic marker of anti-angiogenic therapy using bevacizumab: high-MMP-2 and low-MMP-9 plasma levels were correlated with better tumor response and better survival in recurrent high-grade glioma, and with better survival in HER-2-positive inflammatory breast cancer receiving neoadjuvant therapy [11].
