miR-204 is known to regulate the biological behavior of MCF-7 cells by blocking the transcription of FOXA1, a member of the FOX family of transcription factors that is also known as hepatocyte nuclear factor 3α (HNF3α), a potent transcriptional regulator of transthyretin (TTR) and α1-antitrypsin (α1-AT), interacting in lung cancer, thyroid carcinoma, and PC and BC cells, promoting cell growth and inhibiting apoptosis [51]. Here, TTR is linked to lung cancer.
