The median CCL2 concentration in prostate cancer serum was 0.45 ng/mL (IQR 0.36–0.63) and was significantly higher compared to BPH serum (0.23 ng/mL, IQR 0.22–0.25) (median difference 0.22 ng/mL, 95% CI, 0.17–0.30) (p < 0.0001) and normal serum (0.32 ng/mL, IQR 0.27–0.37) (median difference 0.13 ng/mL, 95% CI, 0.13–0.17) (p < 0.0001).
