Although radical prostatectomy or radiation therapy is given with curative intent [4], 20–40% of patients will eventually experience biochemical recurrence (increase in serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA)) [5]; most patients will then receive androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) which is the cornerstone in the management of advanced prostate cancer [6].
