Despite prescribing limitations, a recent meta-analysis reported that a benefit of chemoimmunotherapy in the early-stage NSCLC occurred regardless of the PD-L1 expression, with benefit in EFS even in PD-L1 < 1% tumors (HR: 0.74; 95% CI: 0.62–0.89), and regardless of stage of the disease (stage II, HR: 0.71; 95% CI: 0.55–0.92; and stage III, HR: 0.54; 95% CI: 0.48–0.62), and regardless the type of platinum chemotherapy [48]. This evidence concerns the gene CD274 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
