Previous studies have reported that lung Treg cells can co-express Foxp3 and the Th2 transcription factor GATA3 in the OVA-induced airway inflammation model [12], and the adoptive transfer of Th2-type Treg cells purified from OVA-sensitized mice significantly aggravates the clinical signs of OVA-induced allergic asthma [22].
