TP53INP1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus: In the SMR results with instrument variants derived from blood, we observed that per 1-SD increase in TP53INP1 expression, there was a 17% increase in the risk of T2D (OR 1.17, 95% CI 1.11–1.23; PPH4 = 0.95), a 45% increased risk of DN (OR 1.45, 95% CI 1.22–1.73; PPH4 = 0.90), and a 37% increased risk of DR (OR 1.37, 95% CI 1.22–1.53; PPH4 = 0.82).
