For instance, per 1-SD increase in genetically predicted methylation of DUSP1 at cg17560677 was correlated with an increased risk of T1D (OR 1.52, 95% CI 1.18–1.94; PPH4 = 0.95), whereas an increase at cg22118147 was linked to a reduced risk of T1D (OR 0.76, 95% CI 0.64–0.89; PPH4 = 0.84). This evidence concerns the gene DUSP1 and type 1 diabetes mellitus.
