More recent unpublished findings from our group have highlighted that the exogenous expression of the lnc-SPRY3 RNAs in female NSCLC cells, as well as mouse NSCLC cells, which also induced radiation susceptibility, suggesting that not only are the pathways affected by these lncRNAs present in female cells and other mammalian cells, but also that a potential use of these lncRNAs as therapeutic molecules may be feasible. The gene discussed is SPRY3; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
