In the Phase III HIMALAYA trial [1], the combination of durvalumab (an anti-programmed cell death ligand-1 antibody) and tremelimumab (an anti-cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 [CTLA-4] antibody) demonstrated an overall survival (OS) benefit over sorafenib in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
