In the present study, we thus examined the role of peritoneal GATA6+ LPM following endometriotic lesion induction on the recruitment and differentiation of peritoneal macrophages and how they affect disease progression, inflammation, and endometriosis-associated hyperalgesia using Lyz2cre Gata6f/f mice, selectively deficient for Gata6 only in the macrophage lineage to reduce GATA6+ LPM (38–40). This evidence concerns the gene GATA6 and endometriosis.
