Exposure to G27, and to a lesser extent PMSS1, resulted in enhanced Lgr5 expression as determined by immunofluorescence microscopy using an antibody clone that had been validated for this application using organoids from an Lgr5-mOrange reporter mouse (He et al, 2023), followed by automated signal quantification (Fig 1A–D); both the mean intensity of the Lgr5 signal per cell and the frequency of Lgr5+ cells increased because of infection (Fig 1A–D).
