Scutellarin has significant anti-pulmonary fibrosis effects by acting on the TGF-β/Smad and NF-κB signaling pathways (Liu et al., 2019) Furthermore, scutellarin can directly inhibit the activation, proliferation, and production of collagen in fibroblasts (Luo et al., 2020), thus slowing down the pathological process of pulmonary fibrosis (Liu et al., 2019; Ma et al., 2020).
