Dario Altieri et al. observed that numerous gene products such as an anterograde motor (KIF5B), an adaptor protein (TRAK), a static anchor (SNPH), and atypical mitochondrial GTPases (RHOT1), which are linked to the trafficking of the cytoskeletal system of neuronal cells, are also associated with tumor cell invasion via localizing and aggregating mitochondria to the periphery of the invading tumor cell. Here, RHOT1 is linked to neoplasm.
