In an induced liver fibrosis model in Sprague Dawley (SD) rats, treatment with quercetin resulted in reduced levels of serum markers, improved liver appearance, decreased collagen deposition, downregulated NF-κB/p38, and MAPK/BAX expression, increased Bcl-2 levels, and reduced marker of HSCs activation and inflammatory factors (Wang et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and Hepatic fibrosis.
