In line with increased risk for adverse childhood traumatic experiences coupled up increased likelihood of socioeconomic adversity for individuals with familial risk for mood disorders, our postmortem mood disorder samples comprising 112 of the 180 donors, we found that the observed DEGs in the Ant-Ins network in relation to high vs. low longevity in controls were associated with downregulation in protein synthesis and upregulated synaptic membrane signaling. This evidence concerns the gene INS and mood disorder.
