Gomez et al. [11] identified the methylation status of the CDH13 promoter in 179 patients with chronic phase CML and in 52 patients with late-stage CML, and found that CDH13 was highly methylated in patients with chronic phase CML, resulting in decreased expression of this gene, which could support the clinical behavior of the disease. The gene discussed is CDH13; the disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
