IFNA1 and COVID-19: Interestingly, ADAR1 was differentially expressed only in the IFN responsive cytotoxic CD8 T cells subset, with 74.5% of COVID-19 positive cells and 48.7% of COVID-19 negative cells expressing ADAR1, which likely represents an overexpression of IFN responsive ADAR1 p150 isoform (Fig 4D, p-val = 0.0269).
