RAB9A and ischemia: Phosphorylation of RAB9 at the Ser179 site facilitates the assembly of the ULK‐RAB9‐RIP1‐DRP1 complex, promoting mitochondrial engulfment and protecting the heart against ischemia.[32] Parkin regulates necrotic cell death by preventing the opening of mitochondrial permeability transition pores, and cyclophilin‐D has emerged as a novel substrate for Parkin ubiquitination, contributing to cardiac injury protection.[33]
