CTPS plays a critical role in the synthesis of nucleic acids and phospholipids in living systems.1–4 Due to its upregulation in various types of cancer, CTPS is considered an attractive target for combating cancer5–12 and immunosuppression,13,14 and controlling infections caused by protozoa,15 viruses,16 and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
