As shown in Fig 3, by systemically inhibiting host PGD2 synthesis, HQL-79 was capable to impair the establishment of S. mansoni-driven eosinophilia, decreasing blood eosinophil availability (Fig 3A, left panel), eosinophil migration to peritoneal cavities (Fig 3A, right panel) and eosinophil influx into S. mansoni-induced hepatic granulomas (Fig 3B, left and middle panels). This evidence concerns the gene HPGDS and Granuloma.
