Previous research has suggested that APOE ε4 allele, as the strongest genetic risk factor for late‐onset AD, can explain around 20% of the late‐onset AD risk in Caucasian ancestry31, and that APOE ε4 alone was stronger in predicting AD risk than the combination of all non‐APOE common variants.7, 32, 33, 34.
