Compared to SJS patients, those with TEN exhibited significantly lower BMI (20.2 vs. 24.6 kg/m2, p = 0.002), more extensive epidermal detachment (40% vs. 5% of BSA, p < 0.001), higher SCORTEN (4 vs. 2, p < 0.001), and lower serum albumin levels (33 vs. 39 g/L, p < 0.001), indicating greater disease severity and worse general condition. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and toxic epidermal necrolysis.
