LGR5 has attracted a great deal of therapeutic interest owing to its overexpression in human malignancies such as CRC (reviewed in (Morgan et al, 2018)), HCC (Yamamoto et al, 2003), gastric and ovarian cancers (McClanahan et al, 2006), basal cell carcinoma (Tanese et al, 2008), ER-negative breast cancers (Hagerling et al, 2020), glioblastoma, (Nakata et al, 2013) and certain B-cell malignancies (Cosgun et al, 2017, 2020). Here, LGR5 is linked to ovarian cancer.
