Previous studies have shown that cell apoptosis is associated with the suppressed ERK activation and the upregulated JNK and p38 signaling [60–63], which is in line with our observations that down-regulation of p-ERK1/2 and up-regulation of p-JNK/p38 MAPK resulted in NSCLC cell apoptosis. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
