Novel strategies have been developed to overcome the resistance to ICIs by reprogramming the tumor microenvironment (e.g., combination of dual immune‐checkpoint inhibitors, adoptive T cell therapy, oncolytic treatments, cancer vaccines, etc.), for cases harboring specific pathogenic mutations, the addition of target inhibitors may bring synergetic benefits (e.g., BRAF and MEK inhibitors, PI3K inhibitors).2, 12, 13. This evidence concerns the gene MAP2K7 and cancer.
