In addition to drug therapy, exercise is a non-pharmacological treatment for fatty liver disease by modulating lipophagy [27].Exercise and dietary intervention can enhance lipophagy and reduce the formation of lipid droplets by activating AMPK/ULK1 and inhibiting Akt/mTOR/ULK1 pathway respectively, this study also provides evidence to support that muscle exercise is beneficial to other metabolic organs such as the liver, thereby improving nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and the progression of aging [28,29].
