Our findings in ADNI data further strengthen the evidence of the association between rs6859 and AD, previously reported in GWAS of other human cohorts (Logue et al., 2011; Yashin et al., 2018; Xiao et al., 2022), and provide a plausible pathway linking the NECTIN2 polymorphism with AD. This evidence concerns the gene NECTIN2 and Alzheimer disease.
