The overexpression of X-box Binding Proteins (XBP1s) generated in response to endoplasmic reticulum stress can not only promote the invasion and metastasis of NSCLC cells in vivo and in vitro by upregulating IGFBP3 (Luo et al., 2021), but also possible to induce metabolic remodeling by inducing the expression of PDK1, thereby inducing the accumulation of lactate, activating the epithelial mesenchymal transition process of NSCLC, and promoting the progression of cancer cells (Mao et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene IGFBP3 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
