This effect was specifically reflected in: firstly, the expression of CAV1 in human NSCLC was significantly lower than in normal tissues, indicating that the absence of CAV1 can lead to tumorigenic transformation of normal cells; Secondly, the positive expression of CAV1 leaded to adverse prognosis in NSCLC patients, indicating that CAV1 played a positive promoting role in tumor progression (Chen et al., 2014).
