Our findings suggest that the pathogenesis of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is associated with increased levels of CD24 (OR=1.09, 95% CI=1.03-1.16, p=0.005), CD3 on activated & secreting Treg (OR=1.12, 95% CI=1.03-1.22, p=0.010), CD3 on CD39+ CD4+ (OR=1.11, 95% CI=1.03-1.19, p=0.006), CD3 on CM CD4+ (OR=1.11, 95% CI=1.03-1.20, p=0.007), CD3 on secreting Treg (OR=1.14, 95% CI=1.06-1.23, p<0.001), and CD33− HLA DR− AC (OR=1.16, 95% CI=1.06-1.28, p=0.002). The gene discussed is ENTPD1; the disease is diabetic kidney disease.
