The KEGG pathway analysis identified 57 enriched pathways (Supplementary Table S10), which are significantly enriched in signaling pathways of neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction, extracellular matrix (ECM)-receptor interaction, protein digestion and absorption, focal adhesion, cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), advanced glycation end product -receptor for AGE (RAGE), cell adhesion molecules (CAMs), IL-17, calcium, and malaria (Figure 5F). The gene discussed is AGER; the disease is malaria.
