In the current study, we evaluated human renal biopsy specimens and used a variety of CKD animal models, as well as renal fibroblasts, to investigate whether Meis1/Ptprj signaling could restrain the proliferation and activation of fibroblasts and improve renal fibrosis, thereby blunting the progression of CKD. The gene discussed is MEIS1; the disease is renal fibrosis.
