TP53 and myeloid neoplasm: Studies have shown that almost 90% of TP53 mutations detected in patients with therapy-related myeloid neoplasms have variant allele frequencies (VAFs) greater than 10%, and that these VAFs frequently occurred with the loss of 17p across the TP53 locus (loss of heterozygosity) or as copy-neutral loss of heterozygosity (Donehower et al., 2019; Shah et al., 2023).
