SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 vaccination can induce humoral and cellular immune responses, triggering a systemic state of high inflammation, often referred to as a "cytokine storm", resulting in elevated levels of inflammatory factors such as IL-1β, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α [46, 47], and notably, an increase in IL-6 levels, which is considered a key element in the pathophysiology of migraines [48–50]. The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is COVID-19.
