Interestingly, several investigations have demonstrated that GSK-3β can impede the progression, expansion, and spread of cancerous tumors like cutaneous carcinoma, oral carcinoma, laryngeal carcinoma, esophageal carcinoma, mammary carcinoma, salivary gland carcinoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and melanoma (R, 2010), low expression of GSK-3β was detected in cells and tissues of these tumors. This evidence concerns the gene GSK3B and lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
