POLE2 is a subunit of the eukaryotic DNA polymerase epsilon.8 POLE2 participates in the regulation of diverse cellular functions, including modulating cell proliferation.9 Moreover, aberrant expression of POLE2 has been reported in breast, colorectal, and cervical cancers.10–12 However, the underlying mechanism of the effect of POLE2 in the development of CRC remains to be elucidated. This evidence concerns the gene POLE2 and cervical carcinoma.
