Furthermore, TREM1 was shown to be overexpressed in some solid tumors, and higher TREM1 levels appear to be related to a poor tumor prognosis [15,16]. In our previous study, we elucidated the significance of TREM1 expression in both head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) [6].
