Analysis of publicly available RNAseq data from control and AD patients demonstrated altered expression of Adra1a and Adra2a in Braak stages V–VI compared to Braak stages 0–I in parahippocampal gyri, indicating a correlation with disease progression (RNAseq data obtained from the Mount Sinai Brain Bank [MSBB] study; (Extended data Fig. 7F–I). This evidence concerns the gene ADRA2A and Alzheimer disease.
