Patients with CKD stage 3 or higher, when treated with PCSK9 inhibitors for 30 months, experienced a significantly greater absolute risk reduction compared to patients with normal renal function, with reductions of −2.5% (95% confidence interval (CI) −4.7% to −0.4%) and −1.7% (95% CI: -2.8%–0.5%) respectively. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK9 and chronic kidney disease.
