Coco et al. (2007) [19] and Arena et al. (2008) [20] reported that alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels were elevated in patients with chronic viral hepatitis [21]; however, in the current study, age, serum bilirubin, AST, ALT, ALP, PT, and FibroScan levels were elevated in patients with liver cirrhosis. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and animal viral hepatitis.
