Viral infections usually lead to the changes in intracellular cytoskeletal proteins, lipid synthesis and transport, membrane structures, and the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) (Schmid et al., 2014; Belov, 2016; Morita and Suzuki, 2021; Lan et al., 2023), many of which are hijacked by viruses for the formation of viral replication organelles (ROs). Here, DNM2 is linked to viral infectious disease.
