GCKR and PDE4C are known for their roles in lipid metabolism, hepatic triglyceride accumulation, MRI-PDFF determined steatosis, clinical MAFLD diagnosis, elevated C-reactive protein (CRP), ALT, AST, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT) levels [5,9,11,41,46], and the measurement of visceral adipose tissue [47].
