The weighted median (odds ratio [OR] = 0.511; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.275–0.951; P = 0.034) and IVW-MR analysis (OR = 0.536; 95% CI, 0.308–0.934; P = 0.028) showed that NPC1L1 inhibitors had a significant potential to reduce the risk of glaucoma (Fig. 1). The gene discussed is NPC1L1; the disease is glaucoma.
