SIK2 has a role in tumorigenesis in prostate and ovarian cancers, and SIK2 and SIK3 promote the growth of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) by inhibiting HDAC4 function (Bon et al., 2015; Tarumoto et al., 2018; Gao et al., 2020). Here, SIK2 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
