In addition to these somatic mutations, we identified 110 rare (<0.5% of the population) pathogenic or likely pathogenic germline variants in cancer predisposition genes (Supplementary Table 2), including the following the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics secondary genes32: BRCA2 (n = 2), BRCA1 (n = 1), APC (n = 1), LDLR (n = 1), and PALB2 (n = 2). The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is cancer.
