Hypoperfusion of the placenta induces production of vasoconstrictive agents often found in women who develop preeclampsia.30 A study showcased that CPAP therapy effectively managed OSA and reduced soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1 antiangiogenic factor concentrations in a high-risk pregnancy with chronic hypertension.31 This finding supports the connection between placental hypoxia and endothelial dysfunction, which could escalate to preeclampsia. Here, FLT1 is linked to preeclampsia.
